Dr. Ken Peterson is a graduate of Fresno State University with a B.A. in Biology and earned his doctorate at the University of California School of Optometry in 1992. In 1995 he purchased the independent optometry practice of Dr. Jack Pence in the Village of Arroyo Grande. When it came time to modernize the practice in 2003, Dr. Peterson moved his office to the new Pismo Medical Campus.
Dr. Peterson (it’s OK to call him Ken or Doc) enjoys getting to know patients of all ages at his family optometry practice. He also enjoys volunteering in the community. Ken has been married to his wife Margie since 1999. They keep busy with their kids: Jake, Josh and Sandy.
Margie comes to the practice with a background in producing television news and various forms of advertising. Since marrying Dr. Peterson she has learned all about the optometry business as well. Margie works in the office part-time and helps to oversee insurance billing, customer service and marketing (such as this nifty website!) But don’t let that description fool you, as the doctor’s wife she manages to stick her nose in all parts of the business!
